Soulfulness is nearly impossible to describe yet unmistakable when truly felt. The 22 year old Brooklyn songstress embodies it, with all of the nuances pain and bliss wrapped up in the concept. Avangelia started her musical journey studying classical music at the famous LaGuardia High School. She then started experimenting with jazz whilst writing her own music that swirls her Folk and RnB influences — ultimately defining what Neo-Soul means to her. Her songs a musical epics that can tell the story of an entire album. She is currently a student at NYU Clive Davis Institute where her work has been heard by Clive himself and icons like Earth Wind and Fire. Her latest single, “303” was engineered by the singer herself, played by her band of high school friends and features percussion from EWF founding member, Ralph Johnson.
